Voicemail has its uses, for example, when one won't be able to pick up the phone for awhile, but needs to relay a message immediately, or when other forms of communication are not possible, i.e. e-mail or texting is inconvenient or irrelevant.

However, I still usually end up ignoring it, thus rendering most of the pros as moot.

Pi is wrong.

Well, actually, maybe it would just be better to use what is currently known as 2*pi. I've always thought it would be easier if sine and cosine had periods that were just pi, not 2pi.

So should pi be 6.283185...? Should pi be the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its radius, instead of diameter? If so, it would take about 50 years for this to gain any momentum in the mathematical community.

Spring Trip-Hearst Castle Update

I'm back from the spring trip. I don't really want to write an extended essay on what happened. I'll just keep the experiences.

The trip wasn't that great. The people were. I'd already been to those places. What was fun was the bus rides and room decorations. It was very laid back. Fun time, cutting loose from that which holds me stagnant.

Cards, movies, jokes, candy... starbursts... A Whole New World. I was not dissatisfied with the trip. I'm glad I chose the right bus.

    You know why you're glad you chose the right bus? You know why the bus you were on was the right one? BECAUSE IT WAS MY BUS!!!!!!!!! That's why. And I totally agree that the trip would have been better if we'd gone somewhere that the band hadn't gone to last year. I hope we don't go there again next year...
