Infinitesimals
Voicemail has its uses, for example, when one won't be able to pick up the phone for awhile, but needs to relay a message immediately, or when other forms of communication are not possible, i.e. e-mail or texting is inconvenient or irrelevant.
However, I still usually end up ignoring it, thus rendering most of the pros as moot.
On the subject of high school friends, just because you're different, doesn't mean you can't be friends.
Well, actually, maybe it would just be better to use what is currently known as 2*pi. I've always thought it would be easier if sine and cosine had periods that were just pi, not 2pi.
So should pi be 6.283185...? Should pi be the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its radius, instead of diameter? If so, it would take about 50 years for this to gain any momentum in the mathematical community.
About Me
Welcome to the blog at dividebynull.net.
My name is Ryan. I am a first year at UCLA majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics.
My interests include computers, music, and math.
Division by null is a concatenation, of sorts, of computers and math. Division by zero, in math, is what kills kittens and makes planets implode. In computers, null is as zero as one can get. Zero is considered a value in many programming languages, but null is the lack of a value.
This blog will detail my thoughts, my progress, and my accomplishments. Beware, as I have a tendency to digress into rants and rambles. I'm struggling to not do that here. I'll leave more information on this for my blogs.
This is also a test of my PHP skills. I created this thing mostly from scratch in June 2004 and modified/updated it April 2006. The main domain will hold random php scripts for purposes of testing, experimentation, and challenge.
If you want to talk to me, then by all means! Send me messages, if you wish. You can reach me via e-mail at ryan [ AT ] rgochee [ DOT ] com. Yeah. Amazing e-mail address.
In conclusion:
My name is Ryan Gochee and I approved this message.
